During my time at Popsugar, I had the opportunity to lead the digital strategy for a captivating cover story featuring Miami rap duo JT and Yung Miami of the City Girls. Hailing from Miami and now globally recognized, the duo have become icons in the hip-hop world, using their platform to celebrate Black women and empower their listeners through music and personal stories. From their humble beginnings on SoundCloud to Billboard Hot 100 success, JT and Yung Miami have redefined the culture, advancing the legacies of the women and femme rappers who paved the way. I managed the digital rollout across Instagram and X, crafting content that highlighted their journey, passion for high fashion, and pursuit of personal dreams, while also showcasing their impact on a new generation of hip-hop talent. Through this coverage, I worked closely with our editorial and creative teams to amplify their voices, ensuring the story resonated with audiences and reflected the duo’s trailblazing legacy.
